Rachel Stephenson is from Aotearoa and is Māori (Ngāi Tahu) and English.  After completing her BFA she ran the Koputai Project Space and the Last shop gallery in Dunedin 2005-2008 to show local artists and projects engaging with the community and environment.  Living in Melbourne from 2011-2020 Rachel studied Permaculture, Horticulture and Landscape Design, establishing EVE Outdoor Design.  A Permaculture internship in the Jordan Valley gave her practical experience in the abundant regeneration of landscapes following man-made desertification.
Combining these skills Rachel delivers engaging educational projects in schools and creates truly sustainable gardens and wildlife habitats for private and public spaces.
In mid 2020 Rachel relocated to Whanganui, New Zealand.
